Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts, South Korea

Synopsis

In the 1970s and 1980s, Mullae-dong was a lively center for the booming steel industry. Over time, however, the steel industry began to decline, and artists looking for affordable space began to occupy the vacant lots left by the iron factories. The neighborhood became an unlikely and unique blend of ironworks and art, creating a special vibe. But now, with new changes happening, many are deciding to move away from the Mullae neighborhood.
민형 is a musician who lives in Mullae-dong, but like many others in the area, he can't renew his lease and is preparing to move away. He's been working on an album that tells the story of Mullae, but he's struggling to finish it. His life takes a turn when he meets 지안, a welder, and as they become closer, he begins to write the last song for his album.
