A beautiful story about a girl whose only desire is to sing, exploring the emotions that come with chasing a dream. The creator crafted thoughtful shots and compositions that convey the painful narrative in every frame. The contrast between her singing freely in stunning wide shots and the restrictions imposed by her culture and family is powerful. The tragic ending represents the consequences of her choice. The heartfelt storytelling and striking visuals made it an easy choice for Early Bird Grand Award.

Synopsis

Zhina, a 13-year-old girl, lives in the village with her traditional family. she loves to sing and whenever she takes the sheep to pasture, she uses this opportunity to sing, but her father figured out and he can put her in trouble, it's depends on Zhina.

Director's biography

Gita Faizi, a 27-year-old girl who was born and raised in Sanandaj , has an associate degree in animation and a bachelor's degree in cinema, AND she is senior student who study directing now. She started working as a cinema stage secretary in 2013. During her student days, she had experiences in film making and she made a short animation than she made his first professional short film called Rozhan in 2019. And after three years, he managed to produce his second short film which is named The Plain Sings.
