The Body and its Stories

by Mihaela Pounova

New Bulgarian University, Bulgaria

Synopsis

This is an intimate short film with a diary form monologue that focuses on the topics of the female body and its experiences, memories, or so-called stories. It is based on the photographs of Francesca Woodman, as I’ve taken the direct compositions of some of her works. The animation is experimental with the intention of representing a feeling rather than a narrative.
