A Cup of Coffee

New Bulgarian University, Bulgaria

Synopsis

A Cup of Coffee follows Eli, a 26-year-old woman who lives with her parents in her childhood home while working remotely for an American company. Her days are filled with online meetings, spreadsheets, and the glow of her laptop screen. Her father, Stefan, spends his time in the garden among his flowers and beehives, often appearing at Eli’s door with small excuses to talk to her, always ending with an invitation to have coffee together outside. Caught in the rhythm of work, Eli keeps postponing these moments of connection. After Stefan’s sudden death, the familiar house and garden are marked by his absence: the beehives are gone, the flowers have withered, and his radio is silent. When Eli hears the song he once wanted to share with her, she finally steps into the garden and plants the lavender they never planted together.
